                               17.08.2007

Sir,

It is to bring to your notice the resolutions that were passed by thumping majority in the general body meeting held Scope Minar and Scope Complex. The resolutions passed are enclosed along with people who attended the meeting.

The overwhelming view of the people has been that the autocratic behavior of President – CWC is not correct and Management should not give cognizance to him until and unless the process of bilateral decisions involves all the elected members of ASTO.

With regards.

(Amit Kumar)
President ASTO, Delhi

  2. Copy of Letter of Registrar of Societies, Dehradun.

RESOLUTIONS

  1. All the members expressed deep ire on the undemocratic functioning of ASTO-CWC especially in light of the letter issued by Registrar, Dehradun (copy is enclosed). The politics of expulsion has gone too far and all the expulsions be revoked. Management has to discuss all the issues related to welfare of officer’s community with all the elected office bearers only and not with CWC alone.

  2. It was resolved not to support the strike called by OSOA and ASTO CWC but to support the strike called by the ASTO Delhi along with other units under the convener ship of Mumbai region i.e. going on hunger strike w.e.f. 20th August, 2007 and indefinite strike w.e.f. 23rd August, 2007 and CWC should leave OSOA and join this strike.

  3. General Body meeting rejected any attempt of unconstitutional CWC to extend the term and also resolved that fresh election for the new term should be held as soon as possible so that the current impasse is broken and new body takes over by December 2007.

  4. The members were very much agitated on the way the PRBS is being handled. They rejected the MOU signed by the ASTO-CWC members and resolved to serve notice on the management to make the PRBS optional as EPS 1995 has become mandatory. The revised scheme needs to be circulated immediately and after study take necessary action including legal action.
